Hi: I’m Ivy a 5-year-old Papillon mix in need of a new home. I came from a situation of neglect and abuse and left tied up in the backyard. I’ll need someone with time and patience in order for me to gain your trust.

I’m great with dogs, bunnies, chickens and cats. I’m good with older children once trust has been established. I’m in a foster home, but what I really want is a forever home. Canine Adoption and Rescue League C.A.R.L. CARL Adoption Center-call 644-7387 for more information.

Handsome and adoptable Winston has patiently waited for his forever family since March. He’s a sweet boy if a bit shy and would make a wonderful companion pet. Winston is one of many rabbits at the shelter who would benefit from a loving, indoor home.

Hi: I’m Louie a 13 year old Corgi/Chihuahua/Golden Lab X. Sadly my owner passed away and I’m heartbroken and confused that she is no longer around to love and take care of me. Thankfully I’m in a loving foster home, but what I really want is a forever home.

I would do best in a quiet adult only home as the only pet in the home. I enjoy going for walks and being with my person. I’d make a loving loyal companion.

I hope my special someone is out there who will let me live out my days in the comfort of a home surrounded by love. Canine Adoption and Rescue League C.A.R.L. CARL Adoption Center-call 644-7387 for more information.

This beautiful 3-year-old Shepherd is reported to get along with children which is a bonus if you are looking for a family dog. Honeycomb even did well when she met a group of senior citizens including a 90 year old in a wheel chair.  She was a sweet girl who did not jump up on them!

Hi: I’m Cole a very active 4 1/2 year old Chihuahua X who is still waiting for my forever home. I enjoy having structure and need someone who will continue training with me. I’m a smart guy who gets overstimulated easily, so young kids are not for me. I need time to get to know you, but once I do I’m a love. I hope my special someone comes for me soon. Hi: I’m Polo a 2 1/2 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix who was found as a stray. I fell into a swimming pool, maybe not the best way to get attention, but it sort of worked. The people who owned the pool couldn’t keep me and they reached out to C.A.R.L. to help find me my forever home. No one has come to claim me, so I’m ready to be adopted.

I have a twinkle in my eyes and a great smile. I’m just patiently waiting for you to come and adopt me. Canine Adoption and Rescue League C.A.R.L. CARL Adoption Center-call 644-7387 for more information.

Looking for Vegas Love? Yes, I’m Vegas a 2-year old American Bulldog Mix. I’m as cute and cuddly as my photos. I love – Leisurely walks – Riding in the car – Wet, sloppy kisses – Binge watching on the couch – Sleeping in on Saturday, well everyday – Hanging out in the park if that’s what you want to do. I’m looking for a family without other pets.

Bug,  what a great dog…He is shy and gentle cuddle-bug, very sweet on leash, walks right beside you.  He just lies down by your side or sets his heavy head in your lap for a pat. He doesn’t jump up on you.

He is good with adopters who are comfortable with canines who have a laidback attitude and prefer an easygoing lifestyle. Looking for an emotionally secure, mutually satisfying, low maintenance relationship? Let him sit at your feet, walk by your side, and be your devoted companion forever Ventura County Animal Services – Simi location – 670 W Los Angeles Ave(A611191)

Eeyore recently had something big happen to him. This happy go lucky dog has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure. The vet also found that he has an enlarged heart, chronic valvular disease, and a golf ball sized mass on his heart. When performing any kind of exercise or if he starts getting hot, blood gets pushed back into his heart instead of flowing away. Eeyore needs a medical foster since being at the kennel can be tough and will only stress his body more. The average lifespan of dogs with these conditions is about 12-18 months. The sooner we get him into a relaxing home where he can be without stress, the better his quality of life will be. Please help by opening your home up to Eeyore or sharing this with your friends. Hi: I’m Thor a 3 year old handsome Chow X who was rescued from the Riverside Shelter. I am very social but was getting stressed out at the shelter. My time was almost up and I’ll always be grateful to all who came to my aid through sponsoring my upkeep so I could come to C.A.R.L.

I was found as a stray by the shelter and was adopted from there too. But I was returned because the adopter claimed I did not get along with the other dogs. It’s unknown if it was just the adopter’s dogs or all dogs. Canine Adoption and Rescue League C.A.R.L.CARL Adoption Center-call 644-7387 for more information.

Marcia, Jan, and Cindy (A710038, A710050, and A710054) arrived at Ventura County Animal Services in May as part of a group of 59 bunnies that all came from the same home. That group included 34 baby rabbits that went immediately into the care of VCAS Bunny Brigade foster families until they would be old enough to be spayed or neutered.

Adopt program allows families to take home one or more of these baby buns as
fosters while they are still too young to be officially adopted. To meet these adorable babies and learn more about this program, please visit VCAS at 600 Aviation Drive in Camarillo and ask for ID #s A710038, A710050, and A710054. For details about adoption hours, offsite events, rabbit supplies, bunny nail trims, and compatibility dates, visit facebook.com/VCASBunnyBrigade.

Hi: I’m Floki a stunning Chow who is in need of a loving home. I was rescued from someone who was abusing me, but my rescuer is moving out of the country and I cannot go too. Thankfully C.A.R.L. is giving me a chance to find my forever home.

I’ll need time to get to know you and once I do, I’ll be very loyal to you. I like being spoken to lovingly and sweetly.

I need an adult only home with someone who has Chow experience. I enjoy playing with other dogs, but it’s unknown how I’d do with cats.

I know basic commands and walk well on leash. If you’re looking for a sweet dog and can give me a calm structured environment with consistent training, stop by and meet me. Canine Adoption and Rescue League C.A.R.L.

Hi: I’m Tazz a 5 year old German Shorthaired Pointer / Siberian Husky X who has been described as having heart-stopping good looks and a great personality. I’m more of the star athlete than the class clown. I’m a real busy body.

I’m great in the car and love watching the road. I’m house trained, but may need a refresher as I was rescued from Animal Services. Active, that’s me! I’m great on leash and easy to walk. I’d make a great hiking, running or long walk buddy.

I need someone who has time to spend with me to keep me active and engaged. I won’t do well by myself with nothing to do.

Sound like the one for you? Stop by and meet me. Canine Adoption and Rescue League C.A.R.L. CARL Adoption Center-call 644-7387 for more information.

Adoptable Francois has patiently awaited his forever home since arriving at Ventura County Animal Services last November. Francois is a handsome Angora rabbit who requires daily brushing and an extra serving of good quality pellets to maintain his lengthy locks. Like many shelter rabbits, sweet Francois is a white bunny with ruby eyes. To meet Francois and learn why summer is an especially challenging time for homeless rabbits, please visit VCAS at 600 Aviation Drive in Camarillo and ask for ID #A699804. Hi: I’m Trevor quite the handsome 12-year-old Chow / German Shepherd X rescued from an LA Shelter. I’m an older dog who is a bit hard of hearing and I have arthritic back legs so I’d probably do best in a quiet adult only home or a home with respectful older children.

I’m currently in a foster home and my foster mom says I’ve been a seamless addition to their home. I co-exist with their dog Bandit. I am more interested in people than in dogs. I also like their children (9 and 12 years old) a lot. I mostly just hang out. I am very easy going and like to go on short, leisurely walks. I would make a great addition to a family looking for an easy-going dog. I have great foster home, but what I really want is a forever home. If I sound like the guy for you, stop by and meet me.
