Vol. 15, No. 11 – Feb 23 – Mar 8, 2022 – Forever Homes Wanted

Hi: I’m Gunner, an active Australian Shepherd X who is in need of a new home.

I’m used to living on a ranch and enjoyed running around on the ranch. I’m good with female dogs, but it’s unknown about male dogs. It’s unknown how I’d do with cats or children. I tend to nip if I’m not familiar with the person and I’m touched on the back of the head. For this reason I may do best in an adult only home or a home with older respectful children.

I know how to use a doggie door and I know some basic commands.

If you’re interested in meeting me, please fill out an online application.

Hi: I’m Brutus, a handsome and lovable 2-year-old Labrador / Pit Bull X who is in need of a new home as I’m not allowed at the home my owners are renting.

I’m an outgoing, active boy who thinks he is a lap dog. I hope you have a strong arm as I love to play fetch. I’m good with other dogs, but no cats please. I love to cuddle and sleep next to you. I know basic commands and walk great with a no pull harness.

I can be possessive of my things so I’d do best in an adult only home.

I do have food/environment allergies and I get car sick. I’m on a special diet and medication to help keep this under control.

Hi: I’m Blossom, a 9 1/2 year old Poodle X who is in need of a new home. I was found as a stray, but no one came to claim me. I’m grateful to C.A.R.L. who is going to help me find my forever home.

I’m an older lady whose vision isn’t as good as it used to be, but I still get around just fine. My foster mom says I’m good with other dogs and cats too. I’m a wonderful dog when I’m with you, but I don’t like to be left alone and will let you know it.

I know people will pass me by because I’m older, but I know my special someone is out there. I still have lots of love to give and hope there is someone who wants to love me in return. Please fill out an online application if you want to meet me. CARL Adoption Center-call 644-7387 for more information.

Vol. 15, No. 06 – Dec 15 – Dec 28, 2021 – Forever Homes Wanted

Hi: I’m Dixie, a Shepherd X in need of a new home. I was rescued from an LA shelter with my mom and siblings. My siblings have found their forever homes, but I’m still waiting for mine.

Since I’m just a puppy, children in the home must be at least 6 years of age. I know I’m cute and everyone will want me, but please be sure you’re ready to take on a puppy as it’s similar to having a newborn (2-legged kind) in the home. It’s a lifetime commitment, not a temporary one where the love and attention wears off after I’m grown.

If you’re ready and able to give me a lifetime of love and wonderful memories, please fill out an application to meet me. Canine Adoption and Rescue League C.A.R.L. CARL Adoption Center-call 644-7387 for more information.

Hi: I’m Jackson, an 8-year-old sweet American Staffordshire Terrier X who was rescued from an LA shelter by someone out-of-state who wanted to give me a chance at finding my forever home.
I accepted being touched all over my body including my paws, tail and mouth. I know sit, shake and take treats gently. I did not exhibit any food aggression when tested with chicken.

I need to be the only dog in the home. I’ve been lucky to be able to get time away from the kennel. I was quick to pick up potty training and I was a true gentleman when left alone in the home.

I’m grateful and happy to be in a safe place where I’ll be taken care of and given lots of love and attention. Someone who hasn’t even met me in person was willing to give me a chance, won’t you give me a chance too? Stop by and meet me. I’ll be waiting.

Hi: I’m Mason, a handsome 2 year old Chow mix who needs a home to help me build some confidence. I am easily frightened by noises. I did come in with my buddy Teddy, but we are not kenneled together. It is not known how I would do with other pets and children. Because I am a black dog I will tend to get overlooked. Please help me get seen and share me with all your friends and family. I’m a sweet soul who deserves a chance at a forever home.

Otter Pup, 2-year 5 month Pit Bull Terrier, loves to run and play, and especially loves playing with squeaky toys. He’s still a younger guy and would benefit from bring with someone who has the time and energy to keep provide structure so he can direct his energy into fun activities! With small kids and other dogs, Otter Pup can get really excited and can overwhelm them – so a home without little kids would be preferable. Kennel: 089. Grizzly & Oscar were owned by a loving family who were no longer able to care for them and brought them to Ventura County Animal Services to be rehomed. They are a young, bonded pair who must be adopted together. Guinea pigs are social animals and typically prefer a companion, so having a bonded pair is advantageous! Grizzly and Oscar are adorable and fun-loving and enjoy playing and cuddling up together. Please learn about proper guinea pig care prior to adoption.

Hi: I’m Eli, a handsome 5 1/2 year old Rottweiler mix who is in need of a new home due to a move out-of-state and I can’t go along.

I did great living with the 18-month-old. I love other dogs and I have a submissive play style. I’ve attended doggie daycare and did great there. I’m not a fan of cats/squirrels and I can jump a 6 ft fence to chase them. I often return by jumping back over the fence. I’ll need a taller fence that can keep me out of trouble.

I enjoy balls, trips to the beach and belly rubs. I’m a happy, energetic boy who has some separation anxiety, but it’s gotten better over time. I’ve had formal training and know basic commands.

I rarely bark at home, but will bark when people approach the front door. Once new people are introduced properly outside, I have no problem with them entering the house.
