Hi, I’m Cole 2 a cute 4 year old Chihuahua X who was rescued from Animal Services. I’m grateful to be given a chance to find my forever home.

I was in a foster home with 2 other small dogs. I respond best to a calm structured environment. I am a bit fearful and anxious, once I get to know you I am a fun and sweet dog but I do take awhile to get used to new people and dogs. It should be on my terms, at my own pace. My foster mom has been taking me to training and I’m walking well on leash. I am beginning to be comfortable with one of my foster siblings, but needed to be separated for 3 weeks. On walks when encountering bigger dogs I do show some anxiety and will bark and pull, but my foster mom is working with me on not doing that.

I would do best in a quiet home where someone is home most of the time. At this time it is not recommended that I go to a home with children. I love to be with the person I trust. I am house and crate trained. I’m a smart dog who thrives with learning new skills. While I love attention from the person that I trust, I am not a lap dog.

Sunshine is the best of both worlds. Ready for a good adventure, but also down for a good cuddle if that’s more your thing. She’s done great with other dogs, big and small. She spent some time with one of our big pit bull dogs and did great with him. She’s cool and confident. She walks well on a leash and is a volunteer and staff favorite. Chewie has been in foster care for over a month now and he is a wonderful, extremely easygoing little guy. He loves talking walks, running and hiking.

Look at this handsome face and those adorable ears! Pony Boy is a fun, young dog who was brought to the shelter by a Good Samaritan who found him roaming in the streets.

The person who found him reported that Pony Boy got along well with her older large dog and her younger small dog. He also did great with the small child (3-years old) in the house, as well as with an elderly family member. He is very friendly and loves getting petted and snuggled.

Hi: I’m Skye a beautiful 1 year 4 month old Chow in need of a new home. I arrived pregnant and was able to go to a foster home before I gave birth to 4 puppies. Although I’m a Mom now, I’m still a puppy myself. I love attention but can react negatively if I don’t get enough. My foster Mom thinks with some training and a structured schedule I’ll do great.

My foster Mom had me with four other large dogs at once on multiple occasions (two males and two females) and I did great. I’m playful, affectionate and outgoing, but I am also headstrong and pushy with other dogs, so any dogs that will react negatively to that type of personality is not a good mix for me. It’s unknown how I’d do with cats or children.

I need leash training as I’m a big puller and reactive to dogs passing by on walks. I will test boundaries — will push aside gates and open doors to go exploring. I’m very smart and very eager to learn and please. Teaching me new things should be a breeze.

Hi: I’m Monkey a playful American Staffordshire Terrier / Labrador mix. I was adopted into what I thought was my forever home, but it was not meant to be. Hi there! My name is Scarlett and I’m a 9 year old chow/cattle dog mix!   I’m not sure what they dressed me up as the bride of Frankenstein or a troll doll.  I’m just glad it was temporary.

I’m a very low maintenance dog that all of the volunteers enjoy spending time with! I’m getting a little too old to do extensive walks or exercise, but I thoroughly enjoy brief walks! I like to romp around in the grass and hang out with my favorite people. I don’t like all dogs though, so if you have a furry friend please bring them so we can exchange some sniffs!

It would be such a privilege for me to just spend time with my foster or forever family. I don’t require much…just some love and affection mixed with some yummy treats!

I have never been tested with cats, but I’m pretty easy going so we might be able to coexist!
