Hi: I’m Kenny a very sweet 2 year old Chihuahua mix rescued from Animal Services where I came in from a hoarder case with multiple other dogs. I love attention, being carried and being on laps. I enjoy walks, treats and people. While at Animal Services, I was in a run with other dogs and seemed to get along. Once I settle in I’ll be able to participate in playgroups at the kennel. I know the C.A.R.L. staff and volunteers will shower me with lots of love and attention, but what I really want is to be a cherished member of a loving family. Hi: I’m Madison a beautiful senior Australian Shepherd / Chow X who was originally rescued from VC Animal Services where I was turned in for being too old. Thankfully C.A.R.L. didn’t think I was too old and I soon found a new home. Sadly my owner has to move without me. I’m grateful to C.A.R.L.’s lifetime commitment to all of their dogs and they welcomed me back with open arms. I know I’ll get lots of attention and great care while I’m here, but what I really want is my forever home.

I’m a mellow lady who enjoys going for walks and is good with children, dogs and cats too. I’m super sweet and friendly to everyone I meet. Balls are my favorite toy. Please stop by and meet me, I still have lots of love to give to my special someone. CARL Adoption Center-call 644-7387 for more information.

You know how the older you get, the more you appreciate just being with the people who love and understand you? Can you imagine being an animal that exists for human companionship and having to live without it well into your senior years? Cowboy has in a kennel for the past 5+ years and it’s killing him.

He is depressed. Cowboy is as lovable, smart, goofy and charismatic as they come but people pass him over because he’s a senior , a pit bull mix and will need a patient and empathetic handler.

Cowboy knows all his basic commands and his best friend and certified professional dog trainer, Genie Tuttle from Dog Genie, is offering free training services and full support to the lucky person who welcomes him into their home.

The team here at CARL ache for him but they can only do so much. Seeing seniors live out their golden years in a kennel is one of the most heart-breaking things you’ll witness in the shelter world. If you are interested in fostering (even for one night) adopting or have any questions about Cowboy, text or e-mail Genie. 479 – 8900 [email protected].

When adoptable Nala arrived at the doors of Ventura County Animal Services in early February, this brave mama rabbit was in the midst of giving birth to four babies. The VCAS Bunny Brigade sprang into action to place Nala and her newborns into foster care. Nala took good care of her little ones until they were old enough to be weaned.

Nala is now spayed and ready for a loving, indoor home of her own. To meet Nala and learn more about the importance of spaying and neutering domestic rabbits, please visit VCAS at 600 Aviation Drive in Camarillo and ask for ID #A681274. Hi: I’m Max an outgoing 3 year old Cattle Dog mix in need of a new home. My parents need to take care of an elderly family member who needs daily care. I wish I could stay and they do too, but unfortunately I cannot.

I’m good with other dogs. I’ve never been around younger children. I love being around my people and want to be a part of what is going on. I’m active and will need daily exercise. That should be easy to do as I enjoy bike rides, walking and playing ball. I’ve had a couple of training sessions and learned to sit, lay down and I’m working on heal. I’m used to having someone home periodically during the day. I just want to be loved and to give love. Please stop by and meet me, I’ll be waiting. Ahoy, me hearty, Jackson the 8 year old one-eyed pirate Chihuahua X here hopin’ you’ll be givin’ me my forever home. I was rescued from Animal Services and I’m grateful to be given a second chance at findin’ my forever home. I’ve been in playgroups at the kennel with dogs my size and I growled and nipped at them if they got too close to me. I’d probably do best in an adult only home or a home with older children who know how to respect my wishes. I’m in a foster home with cats and we all get along. I’m good with other dogs, house and crate trained and know how to use a doggie door. I’m a good walker, love attention and treats. I can’t wait to start a new chapter in my life making wonderful memories in a loving home. Canine Adoption and Rescue League C.A.R.L.CARL Adoption Center-call 644-7387 for more information.

Bertha was left behind at a hotel and her previous owners never came back for her ( I hope they at least paid for her room). She was scared and confused but never lost her sweet disposition. All she wants is to be loved and feel safe. She spent time in a foster home and her foster family can’t stop gushing over her.

She is coming out of her shell a little more every day, and with a patient, loving new owner, we know she will blossom and be the happy dog she deserves to be. Can you be the one to give her the chance at a new life? Bertha A682393

Hi: I’m Desi a beautiful Catahoula / Am. Staff. Terrier mix. Although I don’t look like it or act like it, I’m 8 years old. I’m good with dogs with proper introductions, but prefer to be the only dog in the home. I do not care for cats at all(they never listen to me). I do great on a leash and would make a great walking or jogging partner. I also enjoy the water. I’m available to foster or adopt! Hi: I’m Dougie (the doggie)an affectionate and outgoing 5 year old Dachshund / Spaniel X who is in need of a new home because my owner moved and I couldn’t go too. No cats please and I’m choosy with other dogs so if you already have a fur baby in the home, please bring him/her along so we can do a meet and greet. McDonald was found as a stray at Lake Casitas which is a notorious hunting ground for coyotes. Little guy is lucky to be alive and his people never came looking for him. It’s no wonder he is a little shy. We have found that he does well in play group and pack walks with other dogs. He also has his own fan club of volunteers who are giving him attention. We think he is adorable. You can find him in kennel #404. Ventura County Animal Services – Camarillo Location – 600 Aviation Drive

Hi: I’m Rascal a sweet 10 year old Chow/Shar Pei mix who was rescued from Animal Services. I’m a big teddy bear who loves to sleep, cuddle, lay on your lap, get my ears rubbed and eat treats. I get along with some dogs. So if you have a canine companion in the home, please bring him/her so we can do a meet and greet. I would do best in an adult only home. I got to go into a foster home for a week or so and proved I am the perfect house boy. My manners are excellent and I go to the door to let you know I need to go out.
