When adoptable Nala arrived at the doors of Ventura County Animal Services in early February, this brave mama rabbit was in the midst of giving birth to four babies. The VCAS Bunny Brigade sprang into action to place Nala and her newborns into foster care. Nala took good care of her little ones until they were old enough to be weaned.

Bertha was left behind at a hotel and her previous owners never came back for her ( I hope they at least paid for her room). She was scared and confused but never lost her sweet disposition. McDonald was found as a stray at Lake Casitas which is a notorious hunting ground for coyotes. Little guy is lucky to be alive and his people never came looking for him. It’s no wonder he is a little shy. We have found that he does well in play group and pack walks with other dogs. He also has his own fan club of volunteers who are giving him attention.
