Vol. 10, No. 3 – November 9 – November 22, 2016 – Forever Homes Wanted

scamp-to-adopt-carlHi: I’m Jazzy a very sweet 6 month old Shepherd X. I’m mostly black with a few white markings on my chest and toes. Looking for a WiFi booster?! C.A.R.L.’s Kennel Manager Alison thinks with my ears I’m sure to pick up some signals.

I was in a foster home with two other dogs – a Labrador and a Pomeranian. I loved to wrestle and snuggle with them. I’m crate trained, but not quite house trained. My foster mom created a Facebook page for me that has lots of photos and videos so you can see what I had been doing with my foster family. www.facebook.com/adoptJazzy

Children in the home must be 6 years or older. Canine Adoption and Rescue League C.A.R.L. – call 644-7387 for more information.

Hi: I’m Misty and they say I am a staff and volunteer favorite and one of the shelter’s best ambassadors. Why? I think it might be because I have so many talents. I know my commands, I walk well on a leash and I am very polite when I am taken out to lunch. I visit patients at our local medical facility and charm them with my gentle way and lots of kisses.  I have very good house manners too and enjoy lying by your feet just being close.  I have been waiting so patiently for my new forever family. Wouldn’t you love to have a loyal kissy girl to hang out with? Ventura County Animal Services – Camarillo location – 600 Aviation Drive-Misty A591719

Vol. 10, No. 2 – October 26 – November 8, 2016 – Forever Homes Wanted

scamp-to-adopt-carlHi: I’m Ariel a 3 1/2 year old Labrador/Jindo possibly Shepherd X. Who knows exactly what – but this fusion is what gives me such  character. I have a cute under bite that many people say is adorable. I love people and soak up attention by rolling over on my back for belly rubs. However, I can be shy at first with strangers but I’m learning to overcome that. I was rescued from the Downey Shelter and was initially kenneled with a Husky there. It was a long car ride to C.A.R.L. and I was so well behaved and loved the journey. I’m learning to walk nicely on a leash and I’ve learned some basic commands. I’ve had a hard start in life and I hope to find my forever home real soon. Please come in and meet me, I’m a very special girl, who just needs a chance. CARL Adoption Center-call 644-7387 for more information.

Maximus is a devoted father to his son Meeko, and together they make a perfect pair for anyone looking to add not just one but two bunnies to their family. Bunnies are much happier and healthier in pairs, and there is nothing like watching rabbits play together and groom each other. Two rabbits take up no more room than a single bunny, and they even share the same litter box. To meet this awesome father and son duo and learn why two bunnies are twice as much fun as one, visit Ventura County Animal Services at 600 Aviation Drive in Camarillo and ask for ID #s A635245 & A635249.

scamp to adopt VCASI came in as a stray. Trust me, the street can be a very scary place for any dog but especially a little dog. Fortunately for all of the dogs in Ventura County, we have a safe place to go. At VCAS, I get good food and even a bed with a blanket and I’m making friends with my kennel partners. The people here are nice and they have found out that I’m really sweet and love to cuddle. They think I’m about 2 ½ years old. It’s not too bad here, but I would really like to find a forever home. My friends at VCAS named me Chica and I can be found in kennel #1. Ventura County Animal Services – Camarillo location – 600 Aviation Drive Chica A648550

scamp to adopt CARLHi: I’m ChaCha! I was rescued by C.A.R.L. when my old owners couldn’t keep me anymore. I had a very, very bad bite on my neck. It might have been a coyote, or maybe another dog. I get along great with all the dogs at C.A.R.L. though, and I love exploring the play yard with them!

I’m a 10 year old, Cattle Dog X and I’m very happy, active, and affectionate. I would love to go on lots of walks with you! I know basic commands like sit and shake, and I’m house trained. Take me home. I’m ready!

scamp to adopt VCASI’m Draco as you can see, I am an attractive, medium sized brown and white Pitt Bull mix who arrived at VCAS on 3/30/16. I am a playful kind of guy who will happily chase a ball as often as you will throw it. I was born on April 5, 2014 which makes me an Aries, and we all know Aries like to go for the gusto in our relationships! We don’t like to be ignored so my perfect match will hopefully give me lots of attention. If you are Leo or Sagittarius, my horoscope says we will have a love connection! Give me a shout out and let’s see where it goes from there. Ventura County Animal Services – Simi location – 670 W. Los Angeles Ave.  A640097 Draco

Hi: I’m Gracie a sweet 1 1/2 year old Shepherd X who is need of a permanent or foster home. I, my sister Lola and our 13 puppies are forever grateful to C.A.R.L. for taking us all in when our owners became overwhelmed after we became pregnant all about the same time. A third adult female and her six puppies will be taken in as well once those puppies are older.

I’m affectionate, active and good with other dogs. I know my future looks bright and I can’t wait to make lasting memories as a cherished member of a loving family. Could that family be yours? Stop by and meet me, my sister and our puppies too!

scamp to adopt VCASHello all you chi-chi lovers out there! Sure, at 6 years old I may be close to being a senior, but dog experts everywhere tell me that 6 is the new 4! What do I love, you ask? Well, pretty much everything. I love doggie playgroups, I love your lap. I am a social butterfly with humans. Touch me, leash me, walk me, I love it all! I am a confident little fella and if you want me to learn new things, all you gotta do is bring on the treats! I’ve been here at VCAS about 2 months and the only reason the volunteers and staff can figure out why I am still here is that maybe I am too small to see! Camarillo location 600 Aviation Drive- Glenn Cocoa A639726

scamp to adopt CARLHi: I’m Taz a wonderful 2 year old Australian Cattle Dog / American Staffordshire Terrier X. I love the water so I might make a good beach buddy. I’m great with other dogs and older children (I’ve never been around younger ones), but no cats please. Stop by and meet me, I’ll be listening for you. CARL Adoption Center-call 644-7387 for more information.

Adoptable Bedelia thrived in the foster home where she was raised since she was a baby, developing a friendly and affectionate personality matched only by her striking coloring. Bedelia stole the show at a recent VCAS Bunny Brigade adoption event at PetSmart Ventura, and it is only a matter of time before this gregarious girl finds a safe and loving indoor home to call her own. To meet this charming Harlequin bunny and learn how foster care helps with the physical, social, and emotional development of rabbits, visit VCAS at 600 Aviation Drive in Camarillo and ask for ID number A635242.

scamp to adopt CARLHi: I’m Walter a sweet and friendly 1 1/2 year old poodle. As you can see I have a cast on my back leg. I was hit by a car and needed surgery to repair my broken leg. I’m doing much better now that my leg has been repaired, but I’ll be in a cast for a few more weeks and may possibly need physical therapy once the cast comes off. Once I get a clean bill of health I’ll be available for adoption. In the meantime I’m in need of a foster home where I can continue to recover from my surgery. If you’re interested in becoming my foster, please call CARL adoption center at 644-7387.
