Hi, I’m Ted a handsome 5 year old Siberian Husky / Shepherd X who is in need of a new family and home as my owners moved and I couldn’t go too. I’m good with big dogs, but it’s unknown how I would do with smaller dogs. I’m very active and need a family that will give me not only love, but daily exercise and playtime too. I love the water and chasing the birds at the beach. I also love chasing balls, running and hugs too. I’m good with older children, but have not been around smaller ones. I might do best in an adult only home or with older children. I need a home with no cats and I don’t like possums or raccoons. If I sound like the addition to your family that you’ve been looking for, please stop by and meet me. Although the C.A.R.L. staff and volunteers are great, I’d much rather be in an active loving home. Minimum 6′ fence. CARL Adoption Center-call 644-7387 for more information.

Hula is a fun-loving, sweet dog. She came to the shelter with her sister when their previous owner could no longer keep them due to housing issues.Ever since then, Hula has patiently been waiting for her new person to find her. But that hasn’t dampened her spirits!
She loves going for walks and even gets to go on weekly bike runs with one of the volunteers. In the play yard, Hula is a joy to watch chasing her favorite tennis ball and exploring her surroundings Her previous owner reported that Hula was house trained, enjoys car rides and baths, and described her as “very loving, likes to cuddle, and likes to lounge”.

Hi: I’m Parker a very sweet 4 year old Dachshund mix rescued from Animal Services. I’m very affectionate, love walks, treats and being with people. If left alone, you may want to crate train me instead of leaving me outside in the backyard. If left alone outside I will probably dig out unless the bottom of the fence is reinforced. It’s unknown how I’d do with other dogs, but when walked near other dogs I seemed to do fine. Once I settle in I’ll get to participate in playgroups at C.A.R.L.’s kennel facility. If you’re looking for a companion to accompany you everywhere, stop by and meet me. Canine Adoption and Rescue League C.A.R.L. CARL Adoption Center-call 644-7387 for more information.

Remy is just as wonderful as can be. If you ask to meet him, you’ll see that he is sweet, gentle and loves to get head scratches from you. Look into his eyes and you’ll see a heart of gold under his black fur. His story is a bit of a sad one: Someone dropped him off at a pet store and left him there.
The employees had no choice but to bring him to the shelter. He is still hopeful that there’s someone out there who will love him and make sure he is never abandoned again. Ventura County Animal Services – Camarillo location – 600 Aviation Dr. Remy A650841
Hi: I’m Cole 2 a cute 3 year old Chihuahua X who was rescued from Animal Services. I’m grateful to be given a chance to find my forever home.
I’m currently in a foster home with 2 other small dogs. I respond best to a calm structured environment. I am a bit fearful and anxious, once I get to know you I am a fun and sweet dog but I do take a while to get used to new people and dogs. It should be on my terms, at my own pace. I have received training and I’m walking well on leash. I am beginning to be comfortable with one of my foster siblings, but needed to be separated for 3 weeks. On walks when encountering bigger dogs I do show some anxiety and will bark and pull, but my foster mom is working with me on not doing that.
I would do best in a quiet home where someone is home most of the time. At this time it is not recommended that I go to a home with children. While I love attention from the person that I trust, I am not a lap dog.
If you’re a patient, loving person who is willing to continue with my training, please stop by and meet me. I can’t wait to start a new chapter in my life making wonderful memories with my special someone. Canine Adoption and Rescue League C.A.R.L.Adoption Center-call 644-7387 for more information.

You know how the older you get, the more you appreciate just being with the people who love and understand you? Can you imagine being an animal that exists for human companionship and having to live without it well into your senior years? Cowboy has in a kennel for the past 5+ years and it’s killing him.
He is depressed. Cowboy is as lovable, smart, goofy and charismatic as they come but people pass him over because he’s a senior , a pit bull mix and will need a patient and empathetic handler.
Cowboy knows all his basic commands and his best friend and certified professional dog trainer, Genie Tuttle from Dog Genie, is offering free training services and full support to the lucky person who welcomes him into their home.
The team here at CARL ache for him but they can only do so much. Seeing seniors live out their golden years in a kennel is one of the most heart-breaking things you’ll witness in the shelter world. If you are interested in fostering (even for one night) adopting or have any questions about Cowboy, text or e-mail Genie. 479 – 8900 [email protected].
When adoptable Nala arrived at the doors of Ventura County Animal Services in early February, this brave mama rabbit was in the midst of giving birth to four babies. The VCAS Bunny Brigade sprang into action to place Nala and her newborns into foster care. Nala took good care of her little ones until they were old enough to be weaned.
Nala is now spayed and ready for a loving, indoor home of her own. To meet Nala and learn more about the importance of spaying and neutering domestic rabbits, please visit VCAS at 600 Aviation Drive in Camarillo and ask for ID #A681274. Hi: I’m Max an outgoing 3 year old Cattle Dog mix in need of a new home. My parents need to take care of an elderly family member who needs daily care. I wish I could stay and they do too, but unfortunately I cannot.
I’m good with other dogs. I’ve never been around younger children. I love being around my people and want to be a part of what is going on. I’m active and will need daily exercise.
