9:45am, received report of petroleum spill VWM A-dock. An eyewitness observed the vessel responsible. Officers were able to contact VWM maintenance to deploy absorbent boom. Incident under investigation.
3:37pm, while on patrol in Rescue B19, observed an illegally placed hoop net in the main channel of the harbor. Officers pulled the net, placed into lost/found.
5:19pm, commercial assistance towing suspect vessel spill fuel from earlier.
Thursday 11/20
3:20pm, while on patrol jump started a vehicle with a dead battery.
9:10pm, dispatched to a seizure patient. Officers responded with VFD/AMR to assist with patient treatment and assessment.
Friday 11/21
6:34am, observed NOAA issued Small Craft Advisory, raised warning pennant.
8:28am, dispatched to sick person at 4points Sheraton hotel. Officers responded with VFD/AMR to assist with patient treatment and assessment.
11:23pm, while on patrol, securing Surfers Knoll lot after special event for a film crew filming.
Saturday 11/22
7:41am, observed NOAA issued Small Craft Advisory, raised warning pennant.
11:16am, dispatched to behavioral emergency in the village. Officers responded, cancelled by Ventura PD, no medical component.
1:49pm, dispatched to a seizure at Surfers Knoll beach. Officers responded with Oxnard Fire/AMR to assist with patient treatment and assessment.
10:10pm, dispatched to sick person in Derektor marina. Officers responded and assisted VFD/AMR with patient treatment and assessment.
Sunday 11/23
8:00am, observed NOAA issued Small Craft Advisory, raised warning pennant.
11:10am, received report of fishermen attempting to gain access to VWM A-dock. Officers responded, but the trespassers had already fled the scene.
1:10pm, observed “E-foiler” impeding traffic in the main channel, speeding. The individual was non-compliant in each of his verbal warnings, eventually convinced the violator to cease his reckless operation.
4:13pm, received request for a tow of two disabled personal watercraft near the #4 navigation buoy. Officers responded in Fireboat, took 4 persons aboard, towed the disabled vessels and owners to their slip in the keys.
Monday 11/24
11:04am, dispatched to a surfer in distress at Hobson’s beach. Officers responded in Harborwatch 5 to assist with Ocean Rescue.
2:20pm, dispatched to sick person in Portside complex. Officers responded with VFD/AMR to assist with patient assessment and treatment.
