Tuesday 8/19 5:27am, observed NOAA issued a Small Craft Advisory, raised warning pennant

7:40am, officers assisting maintenance with repairing the washdown at the launch ramp.  The spray handle hose was damaged during the weekend.

  8:41pm, dispatched to an unconscious person, slumped over steering wheel.  Officers responded, able to wake individual up, no medical just tired, napping.
Wednes 8/20 10:29am, officers taking Harborwatch 5 rescue vessel out-of-service to repair the coolant reservoir that is “caked” up with coolant residue.
Thursday 8/21 8:30am, observed a Leo Robbins sailboat adrift near their docks.  Officers responded in Rescue Boat 19, towed then resecured the sailboat to the dock.

4:30pm, received report of a disabled vessel just outside the surf near Ventura Pier.  Officers responded in Rescue B-19, vessel found not in distress.

9:36pm, received report of a water leak between Portside and the Launch Ramp. Officers investigated, found a pressure release activating every so often, nothing really alarming or flooding occurring in the area.

Friday 8/22 8:06pm, dispatched to hemorrhage in the Ventura Marina Community.  Officers responded with AMR/VFD to assist with patient assessment and treatment.
Saturday 8/23 8:33am, during pre operations checks, Rescue Boat 19’s bilge and engines that were sprayed with salt water when raw water pump failed.  All salt residue removed and bilges dried and Rescue Boat 19 placed back in service.

1:05pm, contacted by a concerned individual whose friend is overdue from a fishing trip yesterday.  Officers took down vital information about the incident while beginning the investigation.  The missing person was eventually located.

2:00pm, received report of a fuel sheen near the fuel dock from a tenant in the area.  Officers responded to investigate, but were unable to locate any sheens.  Contacted the reporting party, he was relieved that it was not serious.

3:25pm, dispatched to heat exhaustion near VWM II restrooms.  Officers responded with VFD/AMR to assist with patient assessment and treatment.

4:24pm, dispatched to an unknown medical at 1591 Spinnaker dr.  Officers responded with VFD/AMR to assist with the call.

5:20pm, received report of young Standup paddlers beset by the wind in the keys, unable to return to Marina Park.  Officers responded in Fireboat, found the paddlers and transported the group back to the Marina Park dock.

6:45pm, dispatched to a seizure at the Waters Edge restaurant.  Officers responded with VFD/AMR to assist with patient assessment and treatment.

Sunday 8/24 9:09am, received report of a deceased sealion near Portside Marina.  Officers responded, discovered good Samaritans towing the mammal out to sea.

12:37pm, dispatched to a fall victim in Port District parking lot.  Officers responded, were able to handle the call, cancelled responding units.

1:09pm, observed black smoke billowing out of an exhaust port of a trawler type vessel in the keys.  Officers responded in the Fireboat, donned firefighting equipment and found the owners were clearing out a heater exhaust.
