Forever Homes Wanted

By Ventura Breeze Staff

Photo of small brown dog named Blossom.Hi, I’m Blossom — a very sweet 2-year-old Chihuahua mix who was rescued from a shelter after being taken in with many others from a hoarding situation. I’ll let volunteers pet me—with caution—and I don’t try to run away. I now take treats gently from their hands, and the typical kennel noises don’t seem to bother me. I’ll need a patient, understanding person who can give me the time and space to adjust at my own pace. My behavior with other dogs, cats and children is unknown at this time.

Photo of small dog in purple harness named Lulu.Hi, I’m Lulu — a sweet 12-year-old miniature dachshund with lots of love to give. I’m playful and outgoing, walk well on a leash, and come when called. I’ve lived with children and a cat and did fine, though because of my small size, I may do best in a home with older children. I need a little time to get to know other dogs, but once I do, I’m fine—as long as they don’t get in my face. I’m a senior dog looking for a loving retirement home where I can enjoy my golden years.

Photo of chow dog names Molly.Hi, I’m Molly — a very friendly, pocket-sized 8-year-old chow in need of a new home. I was rescued from Animal Services, and I’m so grateful to have a chance to find my forever family. I was timid and fearful at first but quickly became friendly with volunteers. I’m easy to walk on a leash, tolerate pets, and while I’m not interested in toys, I do enjoy greeting new people on walks. I’m still a bit scared of barking dogs.

Photo of small white dog named Todd.Hi, I’m Todd — a sweet 5-year-old terrier mix who was also rescued from a hoarding situation. I was scared and unsure of my new surroundings when I first arrived at CARL, but I’m slowly learning what it means to be loved and cared for. I’ve started eating out of volunteers’ hands and even let one pick me up and pet me. I’ll need a patient, understanding person who can give me the time and space to adjust at my own pace. My behavior with other dogs, cats and children is still unknown.
