Ventura Facility Honors Legacy, Residents, and Community Impact
This year marks a major milestone for the beloved Ventura Senior Living Home, as Ventura Townehouse celebrates 60 years of service to the local community. Since opening its doors in 1965, the Townehouse has been a cornerstone for seniors and their families, offering compassionate care, a vibrant social environment, and a true sense of belonging for generations.

To commemorate the occasion, Ventura Townehouse hosted a celebration on Saturday, September 13, attended by residents, staff, family members, and guests. Attendees enjoyed live music by The Walt Johnson Sinatra Tribute Band, featuring Michael Falcone, along with complimentary dinner and drinks. A special highlight of the event was a historical photo exhibition, showcasing memorable moments from the past six decades.
“I have been here nine years this coming January, and I love it here,” said longtime resident Maxine Snelgrove.
“It has been a privilege to watch the Townehouse grow and evolve over the years,” said Nancee Borgnine, social director. “For six decades, we’ve built a community where seniors don’t just age—they thrive.”
“This anniversary is a moment to reflect on our legacy, thank those who have been part of our journey, and look ahead to a future filled with joy, care, and community,” added Evan Grannucci, Executive Director of Ventura Townehouse.

As the Townehouse steps into its seventh decade, the home remains focused on innovation in senior care. Plans for the future include expanding wellness programs, enhancing memory care services, and continuing community outreach to strengthen connections across Ventura.
“We are proud of our history,” Borgnine said, “and excited to keep building on our legacy.”
The 60th anniversary stands as a powerful testament to the enduring spirit of Ventura Townehouse and its lasting impact on the lives of residents and the broader Ventura community.
