The Ventura County Area Agency on Aging, a division of the Human Services Agency, is starting its annual distribution of discount cards to be used at participating Farmers’ Markets. Adults over the age of 60 who are on a limited income and meet the eligibility guidelines may receive this free benefit.
Cards are only available while supplies last at each distribution point. They can be used to purchase up to $50 in fresh, nutritious, unprocessed, locally grown fruits, vegetables, honey and herbs.
Participants may authorize someone else to pick up their discount card by completing and signing the SFMNP Proxy Form. The signed form must be brought to the distribution site.

- HELP of Ojai West Campus (370 Baldwin Road), Tuesday, August 11, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
- Ventura Avenue Adult Center (550 N. Ventura Ave.), Wednesday, August 12, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
- Goebel Adult Community Center (1385 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks), Thursday, August 13, 9-11:30 a.m.
- Simi Valley Senior Center (3900 Avenida Simi), Monday, August 17, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Santa Paula Senior Center (530 W. Main St.), Tuesday, August 18, 9-11:30 a.m.
- Wilson Senior Center (350 North C St., Oxnard), Wednesday, August 19, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Look for the HSA Mobile Outreach Van parked outside these buildings.

- Ojai: 300 E. Matilija St., Sundays, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Oxnard (Downtown): 500 C. St., Thursdays, 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
- Saticoy: 11321 Violeta St., 1st Sundays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Simi Valley: 3000 Sycamore Drive, Tuesdays, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
- Simi Valley: 2757 Tapo Canyon Road, Fridays, 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
- Thousand Oaks: 350 E. Hillcrest Drive, Thursdays, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Ventura (Downtown): 200 Main St., Saturdays, 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
- Ventura (Midtown): 3301 E. Main St., Wednesdays, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
At an authorized market, look for farmers with a WIC/SFMNP sign.
