BAA Seeks Volunteers to “Celebrating the Autistic Mind.”

One of BAA’s community outreach projects supports the VC Autism Society’s annual art show, “Celebrating the Autistic Mind.” BAA volunteer artists help prep submitted artworks for exhibition.

Framing sessions will take place at the WAV Gallery, located at:

175 S. Ventura Avenue. (corner of Ventura and Thompson — enter through the courtyard, and you’ll see the gallery space).

This is a low-pressure, high-impact way to support the artists and be part of something meaningful. No special experience is needed — just your time and enthusiasm. We’ll be working in the days leading up to the exhibit installation. Once framed (volunteers needed March 2nd – 6th), the artwork will be delivered just a few blocks away to the Museum of Ventura County for final installation.

On March 9th – 11th we will need help hanging the show at the museum, (see schedule)

Your help will go a long way in making this exhibit a success and showing our community’s support for autistic artists. Thank you in advance for your generosity and spirit.

NOTE: Even though we have designated three-hour sessions, you don’t have to come exclusively during that time or for the full time. Any time you can offer is valuable. Let us know your timeframe in the Comment section of your signup.
