Do you know a student artist attending kindergarten through 5th grade? If so, have them enter the City’s 3rd student art contest! All K-5 students who reside in, or attend a school in the City of Ventura are eligible to participate in the contest. Winning artwork will be included in the 2027-2028 Watershed Awareness Calendar.
This year’s topics include:
- Protect Our Watersheds
- Compost Feeds the Earth
- Conserve Our Water
- Only Rain Down the Drain!
- Care for the Estuaries
- Respect Our Oceans & Beaches
To win, your artwork must:
- Follow one of the watershed awareness topics.
- Be submitted on 8.5″ x 11″ paper in landscape orientation.
- Include a signed parental/ guardian consent form.
Submit your artwork
- All artwork will be collected from participating schools by April 24, 2026.
- Students can also drop off artwork at the City’s Maintenance Yard building lobby, located at 336 Sanjon Rd, Ventura, CA 93001, by April 24, 2026.
