Tuesday 4/29
6:47am – Received report that CI Harbor Patrol Fireboat is out-of-service till this afternoon. Ventura Harbor Patrol Fireboat will cover till back in service.
4:00pm – Received report of a sick sea lion near the South Jetty. Officers investigated and found a deceased sea lion, advising CIMWI.
5:06pm – Received report of a sick pelican in the Portside complex from security. Officers investigated; the pelican was healthy enough to fly away upon arrival.

Wednesday 4/30
7:45am – While on patrol, observed a petroleum sheen near VIM A-dock. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the source of the sheen.
10:30am – Received report that CI patrol Fireboat still out-of-service up to a week.
12:05pm – Received report of a sparrow trapped in a village business. Officers responded to assist with the removal of the bird.
6:31pm – Dispatched to medical in the Ventura Marina Community. Officers responded with VFD/AMR to assist with assessment and treatment of patient.

Thursday 5/1
5:30am – Observed NOAA issued Gale Warning for this Saturday for winds.
7:10am – Observed a transient camping near the Surfers Knoll restrooms. Officers investigated and found Port District property. “Found” property taken and the individual forced to clean area and leave; warned no more loitering.
11:54pm – Dispatched to a fall patient in the Portside complex. Officers responded with VFD/AMR to assist with patient assessment and treatment.

Friday 5/2
5:05am – Observed NOAA issued a Small Craft Advisory, raised warning pennant.
6:23am – Observed tsunami threat message for a 7.5 earthquake in Drake Passage, Southern Ocean. No threat yet; will monitor updates throughout the day.
10:04am – Dispatched to a fall patient at VWM A-dock. Officers responded with GCA/VFD to assist with patient treatment and assessment.
11:45am – Investigating petroleum sheen near VWM A-dock. Officers searched the area and found a possible source. Investigation ongoing; alerting USCG and other agencies in response to daily petroleum sheens in the area.
10:22pm – Dispatched to a stabbing on Navigator Dr. Officers responded with multiple agencies and staged nearby until safe to enter. Patient refused care.

Saturday 5/3
6:48am – Observed NOAA issued a Gale Warning, raised warning pennants.
7:00am – Officers opened the dirt lot at end of Spinnaker for the Corporate Games.
12:31pm – Dispatched to a stroke at Harbor Cove. Officers responded with AMR/VFD to assist with patient treatment and transport.
9:45pm – Received report from skipper of a boat of blinding lights coming from the North Jetty. Officers investigated but were unable to locate any lights.

Sunday 5/4
5:00am – Officers opened Harbor Cove for Breath of Life Triathlon.
4:07pm – Dispatched to difficulty breathing at VWM C-dock. Officers responded with AMR/VFD to assist with patient treatment and assessment.
7:16pm – Dispatched to difficulty breathing at Derektor Marina. Officers responded with AMR/VFD but the patient refused any medical assistance.
