Hi, I’m Cooper — an 11½-year-old Chihuahua mix originally rescued from Animal Services. I was adopted from CARL but returned when my owner could no longer care for me. I’m now in a loving foster home with other dogs, and I get along with them just fine. I’m used to having someone around most of the time, so having other furry friends in the home has been great. I know I might get overlooked because of my age, but I still have so much love to give. I hope I can spend my golden years in a warm, caring home.
Hi, I’m Dale — a handsome 2-year-old Chow mix rescued from a shelter after being found as a stray. I’m so grateful for the chance to find a forever home. I’ve been doing great at CARL’s kennel facility. I get along well with other dogs and enjoy playgroup time. It’s unknown how I do with cats or children. A CARL volunteer said I needed a little time to warm up when I first arrived, but I’ve become more social since then. I was likely nervous after being picked up as a stray and taken to a shelter, not knowing what would happen next. I’m leash trained, and the volunteers say I’m quite the looker, too! I can’t wait to find a forever home and become someone’s loyal companion. Could that someone be you?
Hi, I’m Fern — a sweet 7-year-old Terrier mix rescued from a shelter after being taken from a hoarding situation along with many others. I was scared and unsure of my new surroundings when I first arrived at CARL, but I’m slowly learning what it means to be safe, loved and cared for. I’m lucky to be in a foster home where I continue to come out of my shell. I’ll need a patient, understanding person who will give me the time and space to adjust at my own pace. It’s currently unknown how I do with other dogs, cats or children.
All of these amazing pets are being cared for by the Canine Adoption and Rescue League (CARL). Could you provide a forever home for one of these wonderful animals? To read full pet bios and submit an application, visit www.CARLDogs.org or call 805-644-7387.
