Your artwork could appear on posters, merchandise, event signage, and digital platforms, reaching thousands of fans, athletes, and the local community. This contest is open exclusively to artists or artist organizations who live, work, or operate in Ventura.
JACKALOPE BLOCK PARTY VENTURA is a community-focused weekend event featuring Vert skateboarding competitions with pro athletes, a vendors village, DJ sets, and more.
We want a bold, original design that captures the energy and vibe of JACKALOPE BLOCK PARTY VENTURA:
- High-energy action sports
- Coastal and street culture of Ventura
- Something that looks amazing on posters, merchandise, and online
They’re asking for a draft or sketch, not a finished product. This could be a hand-drawn sketch, digital concept, or any rough version that shows your idea and style. You don’t need to finalize every detail, just give them a clear sense of your concept. How the Winner is Chosen:
The JACKALOPE & Visit Ventura team will first select the top 3 designs from all submissions. Then, our newsletter subscribers will vote to choose the public winner, giving the community a say in the official event design.
1st Place
- $1,000 USD cash prize
- Design credit
- VIP invitation to the event launch in March (more details will be given to the winner)
- Your artwork becomes the official poster and branding for the event
2nd & 3rd Place
- $250 USD each
- Featured on our website and social media
- Even if you don’t win, you have the opportunity to have your artwork showcased at the event, giving your art visibility with fans, athletes, and the JACKALOPE community.
