Free dog and cat adoptions now through August 23!
Ventura County Animal Services (VCAS) is waiving adoption fees for dogs and cats starting now and ending with our annual Clear the Shelters event on August 23.
Kennel capacity continues to climb, with more than 220 dogs currently in our care. We don’t want shelter pets to wait another day for homes.
Adoption counselors will work with prospective adopters to ensure the best matches are made. All adopted animals go home spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, licensed and registered to their new families. A $25 licensing fee may apply for county residents.
As always, our greatest need is adopters for medium- to large-breed dogs.
Preview adoptable animals online at vcas.us/pets or visit the Camarillo and Simi Valley shelters daily from 1 to 6 p.m.:
- 600 Aviation Drive, Camarillo, CA
- 670 W. Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley, CA
