Tuesday 12/30

5:45am, observed NOAA issued a Small Craft Advisory for 25kts of East wind.

6:45am, received request for assistance with lowering an unfurled sail that broke free in the Northeast winds.  Officers responded and were able to secure the sail.

4:12pm, dispatched to Ocean Rescue at McGrath State Beach.  Officers responded in Rescue Boat 19 to the call.  While en route to the call, updated information was a panga was aground.  After searching the coast from Ventura Harbor to Oxnard Shores, no vessel or persons in distress were found.

Wednesday 12/31

6:03am, observed Small Craft Advisory still in effect.  Warning pennants raised.

12:00pm, received report that the Mavcco diesel fuel pumps are Out-of-Service until repairs can be made.  Officers creating contingency plan for FB1 ops.

4:00pm, officers working on continuing education for Emergency Medical Technician certification with the County of Ventura.

Thursday 1/1/26

12:01am, Happy New Year!  Officers experiencing power outages in the Ventura Port District building several times.

6:41am, Small Craft Advisory still in effect, warning pennants still raised.

11:45am, attempting to discover a path for Ocean Rescues due to all of the debris in the harbor area from the Santa Clara River flow.

2:10pm, dispatched to an Ocean Rescue, surfer in distress at the Santa Clara Rivermouth.  Officers responded in Rescue B19, searched the area and in contact with the Reporting Party.  Turned out to be a tree trunk, not a surfer.

2:28pm, while returning in RB19, found a Hazard-to-Navigation, a 30ft piece of plastic pipe in the entrance.  Towed, removed at the Launch Ramp.

Friday 1/2

10:51am, received a request to remove Hazards-to-Navigation/Debris near the Leo Robbins sailing center docks.  Officers responded in Rescue B19 to remove.

11:04am, received report that Mavcco diesel pumps back in service.

1:30pm, while on patrol in Rescue Boat 19, observed a Vision Rental boat operating recklessly near the #10 Buoy.  Officers contacted, educated on safer operation.  After departing, observed the vessel disabled, drifting towards the rip rap.  Took the vessel en tow, found that the operator unable to start engine because he pulled the key out.  Towed out of danger, released after education.

Saturday 1/3

12:08pm, dispatched to a fall patient in Ventura West Marina II.  Officers responded with VFD/AMR to assist with patient assessment and treatment.

1:33pm, Officers on patrol in truck, observed flooding on Navigator Dr near Holiday Inn.  Placed delineators/caution tape to close off the street.

5:40pm, dispatched to Ocean Rescue, swimmer in distress at Surfers Knoll.  Officers responded in Fireboat to assist victim.  Swimmer rescued.

Sunday 1/4

10:30am, while on patrol in Rescue B19, observed multiple Hazards-to-Navigation  Removed large logs and other various flotsam, deposited at the L/R

12:15pm, received report of a lost surfboard at the Santa Clara Rivermouth flow.  Officers searched the river flow offshore, but were unable to locate the board.
