Enter the Humane Society of Ventura County’s (HSVC) annual photo fundraiser to help raise money for shelter animals! Your pet could be featured in the HSVC 2026 Calendar. Enter your pet for a chance to win amazing prizes—all while supporting HSVC’s vital programs and services.
The contest opens Sept. 1 at 9 a.m. and closes Sept. 30 at 5 p.m. The pet with the most votes will win the ultimate prize package: a complimentary night at the Stables Inn in Paso Robles ($379 value), two tickets to HSVC’s 2026 Birthday Bash Dinner ($300 value), a customized HSVC gift basket, and a featured month in the 2026 calendar. Can’t make the dinner? No problem—winners can opt for a $100 PetSmart gift card instead.
Each photo entry is $25, and votes are a minimum of $1 each. To qualify, entries must receive at least $5 (five votes). All entrants will receive a 2026 calendar by mail in fall 2025.
There are three categories: Cats, Dogs, and Other Pets. First-place winners in each category—including the overall Grand Prize Winner—along with second- and third-place winners will be featured in the 2026 calendar. Spreads for the remaining three months will be selected by a panel of judges.
