The Focus on the Masters (FOTM) Arts Archive & Library presents Where Art Lives, a self-guided tour of Ventura homes where art is collected, displayed and loved. The tour includes a selection of private homes within the city of Ventura. The ticket price is $30 for Focus on the Masters members and $40 for the general public.
Focus on the Masters believes anyone can be a collector. FOTM founder Donna Granata feels that passion should be the driving force in collecting. “Owning an original work, especially when it has been created by someone known to the collector, is especially thrilling. Many of our featured collectors will share their personal stories about acquiring art directly from local renowned artists. Art lives everywhere – in a tract home, a condo, a seaside home or an office,” says Education Director Aimee French. “It isn’t the passion of the artist alone; it’s the passion of the collector that’s the driving force.”
All proceeds benefit FOTM’s community program and education outreach. To purchase tickets for the tour online, please go to FocusOnTheMasters.com and click on Where Art Lives. Or call FOTM offices at 805-653-2501 where a volunteer will be happy to assist tourgoers.
FOTM is a non-profit arts education organization that documents and celebrates the lives and works of our community’s accomplished artists. Their educational outreach programs extend to school children and adults through various programs. It is the only organization of its kind in California.
