  • Music Education That Inspires the Next Generation
    • As part of our 30th year commitment to community impact, VMF is proud to host the Second Annual Summer Songwriting Camp, a five-day, immersive experience for aspiring young musicians ages 12–19.
    • Led by professional, working musicians, this transformative program covers songwriting, collaboration, stage presence, recording techniques, and culminates in a final showcase of original student work.
    • Thanks to the generosity of VMF donors, scholarships are available to ensure gifted and motivated students can attend, regardless of financial means.

“Music education isn’t just for future performers—it empowers young people to tell their stories, build confidence, and connect across differences. Songwriting, especially, teaches creativity, resilience, and emotional expression in a way few other things can,” said Dee Dee Dorskind, a longtime VMF supporter. “That’s why I support programs like this—because every young person deserves the chance to be heard.”
