Our Ventura TV Launches 2026 Series Celebrating County Arts

Our Ventura TV is proud to present its 2026 special series: “Arts and the Heart of Ventura County.” This new series explores the role of local artists, arts organizations, and cultural institutions in enriching community life and driving economic vitality across the region.

Since 2008, Our Ventura TV has been an award-winning weekly talk show, broadcast on Ventura cable channel 6 and available online at OurVentura.com and social media. The program highlights nonprofits, community leaders, and individuals “doing good things in Ventura County,” with businesses welcome to participate with non-commercial messages.

The 2026 series will shine a spotlight on the often-unsung creative sector, showing how arts and culture foster identity, innovation, jobs, and social connection.

  • Local Artists & Creators: Personal stories from painters, musicians, sculptors, performers, writers, and digital artists.
  • Cultural Institutions & Arts Organizations: Behind-the-scenes at museums, theaters, and nonprofits that provide education and outreach.
  • Economic Impact: How arts fuel tourism, support small businesses, revitalize downtowns, and attract talent.
  • Community Enhancement: How cultural programs promote education, wellness, therapy, and social connection.

“Our arts community is the soul of Ventura County,” says host MB Hanrahan. “They inspire innovation, create jobs, and strengthen our shared identity.” Host Monique Nowlin adds, “This series gives artists a platform to share their passion and remind us that culture starts at home.”

“Our creative economy is a powerful, often undervalued engine for positive change,” said director Michelle Hoover. Founder George Alger notes, “Arts and culture build vibrant neighborhoods where people want to live, grow, and put down roots.”

How to Watch: Tune in on Ventura cable channel 6 TV or online at OurVentura.com and across social media.
