Aegis Living welcomed actress Daryl Hannah and her trainer, Sanaa, to Aegis Living Ventura for a special visit in partnership with the Romeo Road Show to support the City of Ventura’s Senior Nutrition Program (Meals on Wheels).
Residents were delighted by the visit from miniature horses Romeo and Ziggy, whose presence created joyful, memorable moments throughout the community.
Beginning in the summer of 2024, Romeo and Ziggy started making regular visits to Senior Concerns in Thousand Oaks, a nonprofit organization that provides adult day care and supportive services promoting senior health and well-being. The horses enjoy meeting new people and are known for their remarkable ability to remember individuals they’ve met, forming meaningful and heartwarming connections.
This year, Romeo and Ziggy also brought comfort to victims of the Eaton Fire at an American Red Cross shelter in Pasadena and expanded their outreach to include the Camarillo Health Care District. Looking ahead, the Romeo Road Show plans to extend its visits to veterans’ care facilities, continuing its mission of spreading joy and connection to those who need it most.
