The City of Ventura has appointed Crawford Coates to the Ventura Water Commission, where he will represent the general public.
The commission includes four members from professional categories and one representative from the general public. Coates is a longtime West Ventura community leader, author, writer, freelance journalist, and marketing professional with experience covering local water issues.
Over the years, Coates has written numerous articles about water-related issues in Ventura County. He holds a master’s degree in public policy and practice from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. Coates and his wife, Julia, have two children.
