Hi I’m Indy. I take two of my three daily walks on Main St. We (me and my human) can’t go more than a few feet without someone coming up to us to pet my furry head. We love meeting out of towners, and many people we meet are from other countries.

Hi: I’m Enzo, a 5 year old French bulldog from San Diego but I like to visit Ventura where Richard Lieberman took my picture.

Hi: We are Cisko 3 year old mini Australian shepherd . I like to follow Tipper around, chase birds at beach , watch TV with my buddies (especially dog movies) and cause trouble

And Tipper 4 year old mini Australian shepherd. I like to play with Frisbee or balls, hang out with Cisko, ,go places with my humans and patrol the backyard. We both like to cool off in the pool.

In a recent issue we had this photo with the wrong name. This is Irma Munguia and not Jane Stow holding a photo of her late husband. We apologize to both of these lovely ladies who live at the Ventura Townehouse

Few people know the meaning more than the spouses of military warriors, waiting, worrying, and praying for a safe return home. More than 40 spouses were honored at a ceremony held on May 12.

Hi: I’m Brave Heart. People were living in a car in a park (not in Ventura County). Law enforcement received a report of “shots fired” in the park. Sadly several people were shot dead. Immediately, I attacked the shooters and drove them off (this account has been verified by police report). I was taken to the local animal services. A long story short I ended up at C.A.R.L.

C.A.R.L. was astounded at how friendly and loving I am. All I want to do is be with someone who cares. I might want to live in a home where someone is home almost all the time. I am not sure about living with other dogs, hope to work on making friends while I am at C.A.R.L.

Livi is a five year old Bearded Collie who was rescued when she was almost two. Wally was abandoned in Anaheim picked up as a stray and taken to the Orange County Shelter.

Livi is an amazing therapy dog and Wally will be too.

Hi: I’m Frank, a 4 year old Bichon. I love Ventura, especially hanging out in the harbor where I enjoy kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, and meeting other dogs.
