Timbre Books celebrates anniversary

On Saturday, October 15, Timbre Books celebrated their 2-year anniversary. It opened on Oct. 17, 2020 by Kyle and Megan Murai who stated “Thank you for supporting your friendly neighborhood bookshop. Here’s to another year.”. The celebration included live music, raffles, kids’ story times. A portion of the proceeds of the day went to the Planet Foundation.

Tatiana’s Coffee and Tea ranked number 9 by Yelp

We’ve all heard the saying, “I can’t function until I’ve had my coffee.” Whether or not that’s true for you, coffee is often one of the first things many of us think about in the morning. Some home-brewed beans will certainly do, but when you’re dealing with something as integral to your day as coffee, you want to make sure it’s done right.

Yelp searched all through the US and Canada to find the best spots to sip on a cup of coffee,

This is an all-time list of the Top Coffee Shops in the US, according to Yelp. They identified businesses in the coffee shop category, then ranked those spots using a number of factors including the total volume and ratings of reviews. Tatiana’s Coffee and Tea in Venture came in as number 9.

This shop is owned by husband and wife duo Tatiana and Diego, who are both originally from Colombia. Menu favorites include the “Espresso Con Panna,” and the blended “Espresso Chunk.”

Tatiana stated “As you may be aware already, we have been named the 9th best coffee house in the country including Canada. Wow this was a great surprise to Diego my husband and to my self.”

Ribbon Cutting at Rowan Boutique

Rowan Boutique held a ribbon cutting at their new Ventura location located at 1058 S. Seaward Ave. They are a beachside women’s clothing boutique embodying the quintessential California lifestyle. The girl is a lover of all things beachy, furry, and bubbly with salty hair and skin, sunrise to sunset.

Chamber Ribbon cutting ceremony at Annie’s Portside Boutique

A Ventura Chamber Ribbon cutting ceremony was held on August 11th at Annie’s Portside Boutique, located in a Live/Work space in the Portside Ventura Harbor community at 864 Schooner Ave. # 107 Ventura, 93001. Annie’s love for fashion and design, along with a desire to be part of the Ventura Community, led her to open “Annie’s Portside”. “Annie’s Portside” has a boutique atmosphere where you can enjoy personal shopping with friends while trying on comfy/cozy clothes, jewelry and items for your home along with  unique gifts. The Original Pizza Chief, located on Main Street in Ventura provided food and refreshments for the ribbon cutting event.

Chamber Ribbon Cutting at Crown Classic Museum

The new Crown Classic Museum held a Chamber Ribbon Cutting. Antique and restored automobiles from all over the Ventura area showed up to fill the parking lot of the former Toys Are Us.  The remodel store, located at 2975 Johnson Drive, was filled with several dozens of restored automobiles from the 1900s through the early 2000s.
