To culminate BAA’s beginner’s’ workshops series, this juried show and competition will be on exhibit January 7 – February 17, 2026 at Harbor Village Gallery & Gifts, located in the Ventura Harbor Village. Beginning artists who have limited competition experience are invited to enter. This show is open to all local artists, members and non-members, willing to physically bring in and pick up their work. No shipped work.

To qualify as a “Beginner” for the purposes of this show, you must never have been accepted into a juried show. You can have submitted your work to a juried show but not been accepted. You also may have exhibition experience in other types of shows that were members-only or first-come, first-served, or invitational but not a show with artwork that was evaluated for entrance by a juror or jury panel.

ADDITIONAL RULES:
1. Each artist may enter up to three pieces of any medium or theme.
2. Due to space limitations, there are size restrictions: enter artwork up to, but no larger than, 432 square inches, including frame.
3. All work must be submitted in an entry through Entrythingy and images of each piece uploaded.
4. Artwork must be wired for hanging.
5. 3D pieces are not accepted for this show.
ENTRY FEES:
$33.00 flat fee for 1 to 3 pieces.
