Many artists and art organizations are struggling to understand and deal with the oncoming opportunity and threat of AI. The Brill Family Foundation is concerned with how to help artists and art organizations adapt to this inevitable future world. To accomplish this, we are putting on an art show titled “Symbiosis or Schism: The AI Human Odyssey,” that addresses this theme.
This Call for Artist Submissions is for Santa Barbara and Ventura County artists who would like to be considered for a group AI Art Exhibition. Participation will be based on the acceptance of the submission of a completed art piece created using AI and addressing the theme of the exhibition. THE DEADLINE FOR THIS SUBMISSION IS Friday, June 13th, 11:59 pm. All artists selected for the exhibition will also be considered for grants of UP TO $5,000.*
This exhibition will be installed at the Community Arts Workshop (631 Garden St. Santa Barbara, CA 93101) and be on display from October 2 to October 12, 2025, with an opening reception, grant award ceremony and dialog with selected artists on October 2.
