Ventura Hosts World AIDS Day Quilt Display and Vigil

Honoring Lives Lost: Quilt Project Gold Coast hosts a World AIDS Day display and candlelight vigil at Ventura City Hall, December 1.

Quilt Project Gold Coast (QPGC) will honor World AIDS Day with a Quilt display and candlelight vigil at Ventura City Hall on Sunday, December 1st. Quilt panels commemorating lives lost to AIDS will be displayed from 2:00 to 5:30 PM, followed by a vigil from 5:30 to 6:30 PM, featuring music, an invocation, and a proclamation by City Councilman Doug Halter.

Founded in 2018, QPGC has created nearly 50 commemorative panels to raise awareness and educate Ventura and Santa Barbara counties about HIV/AIDS. The nonprofit also offers a speakers bureau, hosts quilting events, and participates in local health fairs.
