Former Ventura Fire Captain John Van Mannekes passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 30, from ALS.
Captain Van Mannekes joined the department in May, 1996 and retired in July, 2017.
He leaves behind his wife Rebecca and his children Jonathan and Jamison.
