Ventura Port District Implements Phase 2 of Parking Management Plan

By Ventura Breeze Staff –

The Ventura Port District announced the launch of Phase 2 of its Parking Management Plan, introducing paid parking at Ventura Harbor Village, Harbor Cove Beach, and Surfers Knoll Beach last weekend. Paid parking will be in effect from 10 AM to 8 PM on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, while remaining free Monday through Thursday (excluding major holidays).

The Parking Management Plan is intended to improve access and enhance the visitor experience by encouraging greater parking turnover and availability during peak times. This effort supports the Ventura Port District’s mission to provide exceptional amenities, infrastructure, and services for the community and its guests.

“We are ready to implement Phase 2 of the Parking Management Plan, which will help elevate the overall visitor experience at Ventura Harbor,” said Brian D. Pendleton, General Manager of the Ventura Port District. “By expanding access to parking, the intent is that more people will be able to enjoy our beautiful harbor and beaches. We have also made sure to provide free parking options to accommodate our visitors during paid parking periods.”

The District has partnered with LAZ Parking and Dixon Resources Unlimited to ensure a smooth rollout.  Phase 1, which was implemented earlier this summer at the Public Launch Ramp, has already seen positive results.
