Ventura County Library Launches Community Survey

The Ventura County Library (VCL) has announced the launch of Reimagine Your VC Library, a countywide strategic planning initiative designed to shape the library’s programs, services, and priorities for the coming years. Through the initiative, VCL is inviting residents across Ventura County to share their ideas and feedback to help ensure that the library continues to meet the evolving needs of its diverse communities.

The planning effort will gather public input to:

  • Identify community needs and opportunities
  • Provide optimum access to resources and technology
  • Design innovative programs that inspire and empower
  • Create inclusive and welcoming library spaces
  • Ensure alignment with the County of Ventura Strategic Plan

 Ways to Participate

Ventura County residents can contribute their perspectives in these ways:

  • Online Survey: Available to all residents, the Reimagine Your VC Librarysurvey    allows participants to share ideas anytime, from anywhere.
  • Public Focus Groups: A series of focus group discussions will be held at library branches throughout the county. Topics will include youth engagement, digital access, community partnerships, and lifelong learning.

“Our communities are a vital part of deciding how to create and improve our libraries,” said Nancy Schram, Library Director.  “We listen for their voices and respond to their ideas. This initiative is an opportunity for every community member to help design a bespoke and responsive library system that evolves alongside the people and communities we proudly serve.”
