The Vegan Chef Challenge Returns to Ventura

The third annual Ventura Vegan Chef Challenge is coming back to Ventura on January 7th. Local chefs will be competing for your ratings and reviews with creative and delicious plant-based menu options. Veganism is on the rise, and you’re invited to see why.

The event is produced by Vegan Outreach, an international, nonprofit organization aiming to reduce animal suffering by promoting a vegan lifestyle through education and making vegan options more accessible.

You have one month, from January 7 to February 7 to participate. Visit the Ventura Vegan Chef Challenge website to see the list of participating restaurants and menu items. Sample the unique vegan dishes being offered. Vote for your favorites either at the restaurants or by February 7th on the Ventura Vegan Chef Challenge website.

Aloha Steakhouse, Busy Bee Cafe, Happy Place Eatery, and Paradise Pantry have already signed up. They are still seeking restaurants, cafes, bakeries, delis, ice cream shops, food trucks, catering services, and other food service businesses to join the event. Any business open to new vegan options is welcome to try.

Winning dishes will be announced in late February. For Challenge updates, visit https://veganchefchallenge.org/Ventura/
