Incident: Residential Burglary with Arrest

Suspect(s): Gabriel Torres – 31 years. Oxnard resident

Narrative:
On 10/17/25, at about 3:38 am, a resident in the 6200 block of Geneva Street called 9-1-1 stating that someone was trying to open the restroom window of her residence. The female victim indicated that she was home with her three children and could hear someone trying to remove the screen to her window. Moments later, the victim heard a subject at her front door ringing the doorbell. A Ventura Police Dispatcher stayed on the phone with the victim and advised her to stay away from the area where the suspect was located.
Ventura Police patrol officers arrived at the residence within a few minutes and contacted the suspect walking away from the residence. The suspect, identified as Gabriel Torres, was completely nude and appeared to be under the influence of drugs. Evidence showed that Torres was able to remove the screen from the restroom window and reached inside the residence. He was arrested for burglary and booked at the Ventura County Jail.
