Lunar New Year, deeply rooted in Asian cultures and celebrated around the world, marks the start of the lunar calendar. It’s a time for fresh beginnings, gratitude, and spending quality time with loved ones. Each year is symbolized by a zodiac animal, and 2026 is the Year of the Horse – representing energy, freedom, hard work, bravery, and independence.
What is the Scavenger Hunt About?
Celebrate the Lunar New Year with a fun and festive Scavenger Hunt! Explore the shops at Ventura Harbor Village in search of hidden red envelopes. Each envelope represents the pillars of the holiday – good fortune, feasting, renewal, and fun!
How Does It Work?
- Dates: The Scavenger Hunt runs for four days, February 17 through February 19.
- Daily Envelopes: Each day, 3 envelopes will be hidden in select Village shops starting at noon. Your mission is to find only ONE.
- Every envelope contains a lucky $2 bill.
- One envelope per day holds a grand prize gift card!
- Once the grand prize has been located for the day, it will be announced on @venturaharbor instagram. Follow along in the stories for live updates.
- Prizes Tied to Lunar New Year’s Meaning:
- Feasting: Win a $50 gift card to Andria’s Seafood Market & Restuarant.
