You’re invited to celebrate the grand opening of Rincon Assisted Living on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025. This is a 54-bed facility for seniors ages 60 and older with a serious mental health diagnosis. Rincon Assisted Living is a Ventura County Behavioral Health contract facility operated by Turning Point Foundation.
Becky Spring is the current director of Residential Care Facilities for Turning Point Foundation. After retiring from Ventura County Behavioral Health in 2011 as a behavioral health clinic administrator for an outpatient clinic, she began working for Turning Point Foundation as the shelter and housing program manager. Today, she manages the day-to-day operations of three residential care facilities in addition to Rincon Assisted Living: Thompson Residential ARF, a 26-bed facility for men and women ages 18-59, and Oak Place Residential Assisted Living, a 36-bed facility for adults 60 and older, which is similar to Rincon Assisted Living.
“All residents of these residential facilities receive services from TPF Mobile Wellness Groups once a week, providing residents symptom management, medications side effects, understanding crisis, life skills, provide counseling services, and other types of support, such as coping skills, ways to handle anxiety and depression,” Spring explained. “This subsidy is a noticeably big support to help residents to do these programs, since most of the residents are Ventura County Behavioral Health clients.”
Rincon Assisted Living, as well as the other facilities, provides three meals a day prepared by a cook, along with snacks. Housekeeping services are offered to residents. Medication support and transportation are also provided for shopping, psychiatric appointments, injection appointments, medical appointments, lab appointments, and other specialty clinic procedures as prescribed.
“Various activities and outings will be occurring, such as going to local movies every other week, and getting popcorn and sodas to enjoy during the movies,” said Spring. “We will be celebrating holidays soon. We have catered events such as Labor Day & Memorial Day, by El Tapatio, Taco Man. We will also be celebrating the 4th of July and Veterans Day with our traditional barbecue of ribs, hot dogs, and burgers. Traditional Thanksgiving Dinners, as well as Christmas dinners. All these events will be open to family members, guests, and friends.”
