Hi, I’m Waffles! I’m a beautiful 3 ½-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix, rescued from Animal Services. I was adopted but returned because I was protective of my people when on a leash outside the home. I’d do best with an experienced, patient dog owner willing to work with me on this. I need a home with no other dogs, as I can be reactive. It’s unknown how I would do with cats or children. I walk well on a leash and respond when my name is called. If you’re not ready to adopt, I also wouldn’t mind being in a foster home.
Hi, I’m Rascal! I’m a handsome 5-plus-year-old shepherd mix in need of a new home. I’m shy and won’t come up to you right away. It’ll take a couple of visits to gain my trust. I get along better with women than men and need slow interactions. I’m lucky to be in a foster home with another dog I get along with. I also do well with other dogs in the neighborhood. If I feel safe, I’m a sweet lovebug who wants to be petted. The best home for me is a quiet, adult-only environment. I’m housetrained and do well when left alone. A minimum 6-foot fence is required.
Hi, I’m Logan! I’m a handsome 7 ½-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier/Husky mix with some Shiba Inu, cattle dog, greyhound, and border collie in my DNA. Animal Services rescued me and even did a DNA test! I went to board and train, and now I’m ready for my forever home. I love playing with toys, learning tricks for treats, and playing chase and keep-away. I know basic commands. I also enjoy running and going on walks. I’m a big boy, and my ideal home would be with active adults.
Hi, I’m Hank! I’m an outgoing 5-year-old American Bulldog/American Staffordshire Terrier in need of a new home because the other dog in my current home no longer wants me around. I enjoy bully sticks, walks, and lounging in your lap. I need to be told to “sit” and “stay” before you open a door. I also chew shoes and sometimes paper. I live with a cat that I mostly ignore. I need time to get to know other dogs, but once I do, I enjoy playing with them. I need to meet visitors outside every time before they come in. I would do best in an adult-only home with no other dogs. I may be OK with children 10 and older.
All of these amazing pets are being cared for by the Canine Adoption and Rescue League (CARL). Could you provide a forever home for one of these wonderful animals? To read full pet bios and submit an application, visit www.CARLDogs.org or call 805-644-7387.
