Forever Homes Wanted

By Ventura Breeze Staff

Light brown dog with pink nose sitting on grass.Hi, I’m Baby C, an almost 1½-year-old Pit Bull mix in need of a loving home. I’m an escape artist and can jump very high, so I’d thrive in a home where I can get plenty of exercise and stimulation. It’s not known if I’m good with other dogs, cats, or children, but I have lots of love to give to the right family. My previous owner wanted to euthanize me because they didn’t want the responsibility of caring for a dog. But CARL believes I still have so much love and happiness to give. I’m an incredibly sweet and hopeful dog, and I know I’ll be the light in someone’s life.

Two young German Shepherd mix dogs.Hi, we’re Clyde and Corky, 4-month-old Shepherd mixes. We’ve been learning to walk on a leash and how to be social puppies! We recently participated in a playgroup at the kennel. While we were a bit nervous, we were curious and even tried to initiate play. We don’t necessarily need to be adopted together, but we enjoy each other’s company! Since we’re just puppies, children in the home should be at least 6 years old. Everyone wants a puppy, but please make sure you’re ready for the responsibility. Having a puppy is like having a newborn (of the two-legged kind) at home—it’s a lifetime commitment, not a temporary one where the love and attention fade once we grow up.

German Shepherd mix dog wearing a bandanaHi, I’m Monty, a very sweet 1-year-2-month-old Doberman Pinscher mix. I was found in an agricultural field and had a scary bout with parvo, but now I’m healthy and looking for my forever home! I’m playful and learning to bite gently during play. While I’m also learning to be social at the kennel, I can be shy at first and a little slow to trust. But I’m eager for affection and love cuddling when I sleep. I’ve come a long way since being rescued and would do best in a home with a buddy—whether human or dog.
