Ahead of her visit, See shared a local tidbit from the novel on social media. “The Ventura County Library is hosting me at the Museum of Ventura County,” she wrote. “This is especially meaningful to me because — spoiler alert — Ventura is one of Petal’s stops when she runs away in the novel.”

For readers who have spent the fall with the novel, the afternoon offers a chance to hear from See right here in Ventura. Those who haven’t read it yet are welcome to join us. Copies will be available for sale at the event.

The event is presented in partnership with the Museum of Ventura County and with support from the Ventura County Library Foundation. The Ventura County Star will provide a moderator for the afternoon’s conversation with See.
