
45th Wings Over Camarillo Air Show Returns Aug. 15–16
Aviation enthusiasts, families and history buffs are invited to Camarillo Airport on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 15–16, for the 45th Annual Wings Over Camarillo Air Show. This year’s theme, “Celebrating 90 Years of the DC-3 – A Legend That Changed the World,” honors one of the most influential aircraft in aviation history. The Douglas DC-3 transformed commercial air travel and played a vital role during World War II, earning its place as one of the most iconic airplanes ever built.
Now in its 45th year, Wings Over Camarillo has become one of California’s premier aviation events, attracting thousands of visitors annually to celebrate aviation history, military heritage, innovation and family entertainment. The event combines thrilling aerial performances with educational exhibits and community involvement while supporting aviation education and local nonprofit organizations throughout Ventura County.
Visitors can enjoy a full weekend of aviation excitement featuring:
- Spectacular aerial demonstrations by military and civilian aircraft
- Vintage warbirds and historic aircraft displays
- Aerobatic performances
- Military and civilian aircraft on static display
- A classic car show
- A Veterans Hangar
- A STEM Pavilion featuring science, technology, engineering and aviation exhibits
- Family activities, food vendors, merchandise and aviation displays throughout the day
The event is presented by the Camarillo Wings Association, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving aviation history while inspiring future generations through aviation education, STEM programs and youth leadership opportunities. Since 2010, proceeds from Wings Over Camarillo have supported local nonprofit organizations and youth aviation initiatives throughout the region.
The air show takes place at Camarillo Airport, 455 Aviation Drive. Gates open at 9 am, with air demonstrations beginning at noon. Advance tickets, VIP experiences, parking information and the full event schedule are available at www.wingsovercamarillo.com.
