“Class Picture”, Sandy Hook Elementary School

I saw your editorial of Jan15-28, 2020 where you talked about gun violence and thought you might be interested in this. In 2013 I made an art piece which I called “Class Picture”, Sandy Hook Elementary School.

It’s in the Ventura County Art Council show “Decade” (http://vcartscouncil.org/atrium-gallery/calendars-of-competitive-shows/ ). It can be seen at the Ventura County Government Center, Hall of Administration, 800 S. Victoria Ave. until Feb.24 on the 4th floor.

Fox Fine Jewelry presents California Colors

Theresa Payden is an avid animal lover.

Fox Fine Jewelry presents California Colors, an art show with Theresa Paden and Lisa Mahony from January 18 to March 8, with an Art Reception on January 18 from 6 – 8 pm.

Theresa Payden’s paintings depict animals of all kinds, from bears and wolves to buffalo and birds. One of the most striking things about Theresa’s work is her use of vivid complementary colors. After earning her BFA in the 80s, she created logos and designs for the NFL as a Senior Art Director before turning her focus to fine art. She hopes her art helps connect people to the animals she portrays.

Lisa Mahony paints plein air since it combines art and the outdoors, two of her favorite things. After graduating from UC Santa Cruz in the late 80s, she was an assistant editor for National Geographic Television before deciding to focus on fine art. She prefers to paint a series of focused art. Her current challenge is a 30-minute painting daily.
