CAREGIVERS’ Valentine’s Tradition Brings Joy to Local Seniors

By Debbie Lasley –

Each year, CAREGIVERS’ Valentine’s tradition brings joy to the hearts of local seniors, thanks to the generosity of longtime volunteer Keith York. He donates 50 individually wrapped roses, which CAREGIVERS volunteers personally deliver, surprising and delighting seniors with a special Valentine’s Day gesture.

“The smiles, the gratitude, and the warmth—it’s a moment of pure magic,” said Debbie Lasley, volunteer engagement coordinator for CAREGIVERS. “Our seniors cherish the thoughtful gesture, and it’s a reminder that love can truly make the world a brighter place, one rose at a time.”

York provides the rose donation, while CAREGIVERS staff and volunteers handle pickup and distribution, ensuring each rose reaches a senior in the community.
