In a written statement published on January 29, Ventura Mayor Dr. Jeannette Sánchez-Palacios addressed President Donald Trump’s orders regarding enforcement of federal immigration laws. The mayor acknowledged the concerns and uncertainty many residents are feeling and emphasized the city’s commitment to supporting all members of the community, regardless of immigration status. “I want to address our community to provide clarity, support, and reassurance, said Sanchez-Palacios. “Ventura is a community built on inclusion and mutual respect. Local organizations are available to provide assistance, legal guidance, and resources to those in need.”
