On Oct.19, at 6:57pm Ventura City Firefighters were called to the scene of a vehicle collision on the eastbound126 freeway, east of Kimball road. Upon arrival firefighters discovered a jack knifed semi-truck off the roadway, a full size pickup truck wrapped around a eucalyptus tree and a passenger sedan in the freeway median. Two adult males were trapped in the trucks, one was pronounced dead at the scene, the other had life threatening injuries. Firefighters using hydraulic extrication tools were able to free the trapped victim, who was in serious condition, from the semi-truck.
