Ventura County Library’s READ Adult Literacy Program is looking for adult volunteers who would like to help other adults improve their reading and writing skills. Tutoring sites are located throughout Ventura County. No teaching experience is required and the training is free. The next training series starts May 1st in Simi Valley. Future trainings will be in Ventura and Port Hueneme. At the conclusion of training, tutors will meet one-to-one with an English speaking adult learner for a few hours each week.
