The Ventura Girls Fastpitch 10U Gold All-Stars are bringing home a national championship after completing an undefeated run at the Western National Tournament in Salem, Oregon.
The team played eight games over seven days and went 8-0, outscoring its opponents 96-22 to capture the Western National Championship – the first time in 50 years that the title has returned to Ventura.
The championship capped an outstanding all-star season for the team, which finished with an overall record of 44-6, while outscoring opponents 424-114 and averaging nine runs per game.
Along the way, the team also earned several tournament titles and top finishes, including:
- Western National Champions — undefeated
- Third place at the state tournament out of 54 teams
- Western District Champions — undefeated
- Rancho Trabuco Shootout Champions — undefeated
- Ventura Breeze Champions — undefeated
- ESO Summer Slammer Champions — undefeated
- WAGS Summer Slam finalists
- Moorpark Tune Up finalists.
