Wondering how — and what — to gift local shelter pets this holiday season? Ventura County Animal Services (VCAS) invites the community to support animals in need by visiting the VCAS Wish List at vcas.us/AmazonWishList. The list is updated regularly by VCAS departments and includes supplies that help improve the daily lives of shelter animals.
In addition to items on the VCAS Wish List, the shelter can also accept the following in-kind donations:
- Blankets and towels (towels are especially needed)
- Bleach
- Liquid dish soap
- Pet food (unopened, labeled and not expired)
- Prescription pet food (unopened and not expired)
- Pet crates (small sizes only)
- Sponges
VCAS is unable to accept other household donations beyond the items listed above.
