The Bookmark: About Libraries and Friends

By Mary Olson –

The Ventura County Library (VCL) has announced the launch of Reimagine Your VC Library, a countywide strategic planning initiative designed to shape the library’s programs, services, and priorities for the coming years. Through the initiative, VCL is inviting residents across Ventura County to share their ideas to help ensure that the library continues to meet the evolving needs of its diverse communities.  Public input is invited to identify community needs and opportunities to create inclusive and welcoming library spaces, provide optimum access to resources and technology and design innovative programs that inspire and empower.

Focus group discussions will be held at library branches: Hill Road Library on Tuesday, January 13, 6 – 8 pm; E.P. Foster Library on Saturday, January 24, 2 – 4 pm. For more information about the initiative, to complete the online survey, or to view upcoming focus group dates, please visit www.library.venturacounty.gov/reimagine-your-vc-library
