Shelter Pet Spotlight

Our featured VCAS shelter pet is Zeus — a 1½-year-old pup with a heart as big as his name. Zeus has previously lived with a child, other dogs, and even a tortoise, and he loves playing with canine companions.

While he can be a bit shy around new people, he warms up quickly, especially if you bring treats! Zeus also sports a stunning orange coat that’s sure to turn heads.

Meet Zeus at Ventura County Animal Services! Mention this article and where you saw it, and his adoption fee will be waived (a $25 licensing fee applies for Ventura County residents). Schedule an appointment at vcas.us/adopt or stop by during regular adoption hours, now open seven days a week from 1 to 6 p.m.

Questions? Call VCAS at (805) 388-4341, email info@vcas.us, or visit www.vcas.us to learn more about Zeus and other dogs waiting for their forever homes.
