Meet Nutmeg, a stunning 5-year-old husky currently in the care of Ventura County Animal Services.
Much like his name, Nutmeg is both sweet and spicy! He may seem aloof at first, but once he gets to know you, his playful and fun side shines through. An independent spirit and a bit of a couch potato, Nutmeg is perfectly content with a couple of relaxed walks each day. He enjoys romping around the yard, splashing in the pool and might even offer you his paw! He would do best in a home with older children, as he isn’t the biggest fan of sharing his belongings.
While he hasn’t shown much interest in playing with other dogs at the shelter, he may be open to the right canine companion—one who is independent and happy to coexist peacefully. Though he may not be the cuddliest pup, Nutmeg would love to be a loyal, low-key companion, keeping you company while you both do your own thing.
